Meet Ele, the self-made businesswoman behind Ele Kauai, who has turned her passion for art and science into a thriving enterprise. Ele grew up in Southern California and went to UCSD where she studied biology and played soccer.
Using her biology degree, Ele pursued a career as a patent attorney and excelled in law in both California and New York. However, she knew that there was something missing and was looking for a way to combine her love for art and science with her desire to make a positive impact in the world.
After moving to Kauai in 2007, Ele discovered her passion for candle-making by pouring candles as a hobby, and creating unique scents for her friends as gifts. She decided to turn it into a full-time business. This allowed her to work from home and raise her two children while doing something she truly enjoyed. Her children often help her come up with fun and playful scents and ideas for her products, making it a family affair.
All Ele Kauai products are made by hand with love and aloha. The company creates small batches of handcrafted candles, linen and air mists, body scents, and bath salts on the North Shore of Kauai in the Aloha State of Hawaii. Using only GMO-free soy wax and high-quality fragrances and essential oils, Ele Kauai’s products are environmentally friendly and of the highest quality.
Ele’s dedication to her craft and her commitment to creating sustainable and high-quality products have earned her a loyal following and made her a role model for aspiring entrepreneurs.
